FLEETWERX seeks performers to develop a plan to stand up one or more Component Repair Centers (CRCs) that will house all component refurbishment work. Also, to develop a plan to stand-up one forge/foundry to fabricate new components from the largest shafts to the smallest component. Key objectives for the performers are as follows:
How to Participate
COMPLETED - 15 November 2022 Government Only Collaboration Event (CE): Government partners from NAVSEA will identify current limitations and ideate on ways to overcome limiting factors. The discuss to frame needs and align discussions with Industry to solutions. Discussions and outcomes from the Government Only Collaboration Event will shape a future Industry Collaboration Event (CE) and Assessment Event (AE).
COMPLETED - 10 January 2024 and 11 January 2024 Industry Collaboration Event (CE): Nautilus, in collaboration with NAVSEA, will host an Industry Collaboration Event. Day 1 of the CE will be a hybrid “Round Robin” event, while Day 2 of the CE will be in-person only working group, brainstorming session. During this event, NAVSEA representatives will interact and inform Industry, Academic, and Laboratory partners to further communicate operational requirements. Participation in the Collaboration Event is not mandatory, however, it is designed to provide insights to ensure potential offerors understand the problem set(s) fully and to increase the likelihood of matching their technologies with NAVSEA needs. If you do not wish to participate in the industry day, you are free to submit your technology for review in the Assessment Event (AE).
COMPLETED - 18 January 2024 to 15 February 2024 Submissions Open: Interested respondents who could potentially provide solutions that meet the needs of the Stakeholders are encouraged to submit their solutions per the instructions below.
COMPLETED - 16 February 2024 to 14 March 2024 Downselects: NAVSEA will downselect those respondents/submissions they feel have the highest potential to satisfy their capability needs. Organizations with favorably evaluated submissions will receive an invitation to the Assessment Event.
26 March 2024 to 28 March 2024 Virtual Assessment Event (AE): During the virtual AE, invited participants will be allotted a one-on-one session with the Government evaluation panel to discuss their proposed solutions and proposed work plan, if selected to move forward. The forum will include a Q&A portion and discussions may continue outside of the event to determine who (if anyone) proceeds to follow-on efforts.
April 2024 Follow-On: The Government has several acquisition/contract vehicles (i.e., various IDIQ contracts, purchase orders, etc.) to potentially select solution offerors. The Government may select none, one, or some solution offerors from the Assessment Event to complete the desired outcomes. The intent is for selectees to receive a formal Business-to-Business (B2B) Agreement and Statement of Effort (SOE) as a sub-award (15 U.S. Code, Section 3715) from DEFENSEWERX-FLEETWERX. However, after discussions with the Government, successfully negotiated awards may fall under (but are not limited to) alternate mechanism of awards/interactions with any combination of these categories:
