Component Repair Centers (CRCs) Assessment Event (AE)

FLEETWERX will host a series of events to identify organizations with technologies relating to machinery, robotics, and integrated IT systems.

Description

Objective

FLEETWERX seeks performers to develop a plan to stand up one or more Component Repair Centers (CRCs) that will house all component refurbishment work. Also, to develop a plan to stand-up one forge/foundry to fabricate new components from the largest shafts to the smallest component. Key objectives for the performers are as follows:

  • Enhance item readiness through implementation of strategic near-term and long-term actions
  • Demonstrate a measurable impact on item throughput, based on improvements made by standing up the CRCs

Day 1 of the CE will be a hybrid “Round Robin” event, while Day 2 of the CE will be in-person only working group, brainstorming session.  During this event, NAVSEA representatives will interact and inform Industry, Academic, and Laboratory partners to further communicate operational requirements. Participation in the Collaboration Event is not mandatory, however, it is designed to provide insights to ensure potential offerors understand the problem set(s) fully and to increase the likelihood of matching their technologies with NAVSEA needs. If you do not wish to participate in the industry day, you are free to submit your technology for review in the Assessment Event (AE).

  • OTA for research or prototype projects (10 U.S. Code Sections 4021, 4022)
  • An award under 10 U. S. Code, Section 4022 may result in the further award of a follow-on production agreement without additional competition based on successful prototype completion. The Government may make this follow-on production award even if all successful prototype criteria are not fully met during the prototype project.
  • Procurement for experimental purposes (10 U.S. Code Section 4023)
  • Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (15 U.S. Code Section 3710a)
